Chrystalen Stambaugh

Program Associate

He/They

Chrystalen is driven by a passion for equity in education. During college, his most meaningful work always centered on student support and advocacy: creating a welcoming “home away from home” for an LGBTQ+ themed dorm of 54 students, guiding over 30 engineering students through their first research experiences, and teaching STEM content with a strong emphasis on accessibility.

After earning his B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford, Chrystalen joined the SiE team in July 2025 to continue advancing equity in STEM education. In his role as Program Associate, he applies systems thinking to manage inventory, procurement, logistics, and event coordination for the Science is for Me! kit program. He enjoys finding creative ways to apply his technical foundation in scientific thinking and data analysis to challenges both inside and outside the workplace and is excited to keep growing in his role at SiE.
